Meditonsin®
introduction
Meditonsin® is a homeopathic remedy for colds. It is pharmacy-only, but not prescription-only, so it is available in pharmacies without a prescription.
Active ingredient
Meditonsin® is a homeopathic tri-complex of the three natural, complementary active ingredients: Aconitinum, Atropinum sulfuricum and Mercurius cyanatus.
Mechanism of action
Meditonsin® contains the three active ingredients mentioned above. Each of them has its effect on the body:
- Aconitium helps with highly acute inflammations that are accompanied by a sudden violent onset of the disease.
- Atropinum sulfuricum D5 is the active ingredient against febrile infections and acute inflammations with throat and swallowing problems and dryness cough should help.
- Mercurius cyanatus D8 has a soothing effect on inflammatory processes of the throat, Larynx and sinus, with an incipient suppuration and swelling of the Lymph nodes accompanied.
dosage
Meditonsin® should undiluted as drops and taken with or without meals. Best to at the first sign of a cold start taking the drug.
If there is no improvement after more than a week, you should consult a doctor. Adults and children over the age of twelve can take up to five drops six times a day to take in. Children under twelve to six years are allowed One to two drops six times a day take in. For infants and children under one year of age, a doctor should be consulted. The maximum dose for infants is four times one drop and six times one drop for children over the age of one Meditonsin®.

Contraindications

Careful application
Meditonsin® can be taken under certain circumstances, but it is special care required.

Side effects
If you experience any of the following side effects while being treated with Meditonsin®, discontinue the drug immediately and see a doctor. Like all medicines, a homeopathic drug can have certain side effects, but not everybody gets them.
Possible side effects are:
- increased salivation
- Hypersensitivity reaction with itching and rash
- Initial aggravation (i.e. the existing symptoms of the disease worsen when taking the drug).

Interactions
In case you are taking other medicines or have recently taken it, your doctor must be informed, as there can always be drug interactions, even if Meditonsin® is a non-prescription homeopathic drug acts. There are currently no interactions with others Medication known.
