eating disorder

Eating disorders occur mainly in young women and are associated with impaired self-image and eating behavior. There are different forms of eating disorder that are associated with different complications. The most common are listed here:

Psychosis

Psychoses are mental illnesses that are characterized by a change in thought patterns and can sometimes be associated with impaired perception of oneself and the environment. A well-known psychosis is schizophrenia in which hallucinations can also occur. In addition, there are drug psychoses that result from the abuse of e.g. Ecstasy can arise.

Personality disorders

Personality disorders are defined by assuming a certain behavior pattern of the person concerned, which is used in all situations and thus leads to deviations from normal behavior. This change in behavior can be very diverse. The most common disorders include:

Obsessive-compulsive disorder

Post-traumatic stress disorder

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are triggered by serious events that lead to psychological trauma. Such experiences can be psychological and physical violence, among other things, war experiences or general life-threatening situations.

Addiction

An addiction or also called dependency describes an urge for a certain stimulus, which can be triggered by specific actions such as gambling or substances such as alcohol or drugs.

Hysteria is a psychological disorder in which there is an urge for attention, which is to be achieved through staging or exaggerated behavioral patterns.
