Forms of therapy in orthopedics

There are many different forms of therapy in orthopedics. It is often difficult to keep track of which form of therapy is right for you. To give you an overview, we have listed the most important and most frequently used forms of therapy.

Therapy with cortisone

Cortisone is often used in orthopedics because of its anti-inflammatory properties. For this purpose, the cortisone is often applied as a syringe into a joint to inhibit the inflammation there and relieve the symptoms. It can be used for slipped discs as well as for osteoarthritis or other diseases. The best thing to do is to consult your treating doctor. They will explain to you whether you can be treated with cortisone or not.

Therapy with hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is used in orthopedics so that joints become supple again and joint movements are not hindered by friction, as is the case with osteoarthritis, for example. For this, hyaluronic acid is injected into the joint. You should clarify with your doctor whether treatment or supportive therapy with hyaluronic acid is possible for you.

Who am I?
My name is dr. Nicolas Gumpert. I am a specialist in orthopedics and the founder of .
Various television programs and print media report regularly about my work. On HR television you can see me every 6 weeks live on "Hallo Hessen".
But now enough is indicated ;-)

In order to be able to treat successfully in orthopedics, a thorough examination, diagnosis and a medical history are required.
In our very economic world in particular, there is too little time to thoroughly grasp the complex diseases of orthopedics and thus initiate targeted treatment.
I don't want to join the ranks of "quick knife pullers".
The aim of any treatment is treatment without surgery.

Which therapy achieves the best results in the long term can only be determined after looking at all of the information (Examination, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, etc.) be assessed.
