 closed (resting phase) -
 Blood does not flow back
 c - Defective (leaky) venous valve
 closed - leads to varicose veins
 (Varices)
 d - thrombosis (vascular disease) -
 Partially occluded vein
 (Restricted blood flow)
 e - Thrombosis - vein complete
 closed (no more blood flow)
 f - embolism - blood clot
 (Embolus) comes off
