Acupuncture indications

General

The range of application of acupuncture is very broad and usually starts where conventional methods fail or no causal cause for the disease has been found.

Indications

In the following some indications are presented in which acupuncture can be used.

• Acute and chronic pain (e.g. headache, back and joint pain, fibromyalgia (fiber-muscle pain), tumor pain, pain in the chewing and dental system)
• Diseases of the musculoskeletal system (e.g. pain in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, herniated disc, tendon and joint diseases,
  Tennis elbow, chronic hip joint pain, knee joint pain,
  Carpal tunnel syndrome, follow-up treatment of hip, knee and intervertebral disc operations, osteoarthritis pain)
• Neurological diseases (e.g .: migraines, neuralgia, facial paralysis (facial paralysis), trigeminal neuralgia, treatment for paralysis, stroke and polyneuropathy, pain in shingles (herpes zoster), accompanying symptoms of neurological diseases)
• Respiratory diseases (e.g .: asthma, hay fever, bronchitis, frequent colds)
• Vegetative disorders (e.g .: insomnia, fatigue syndrome, functional heart problems, inner restlessness, blood pressure fluctuations, sexual disharmony, libido disorders)
• Addiction diseases (e.g. sedative dependence, food addiction, nicotine abuse, alcohol abuse, drug addiction, relief of withdrawal symptoms)
• Diseases of the digestive system (e.g .: functional gastrointestinal disorders, stomach ulcers, inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis), constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic colon inflammation - ulcerative colitis / Crohn's disease)
• Gynecological diseases and obstetrics (e.g .: menstrual pain, menstrual irregularities, fertility disorders, amenorrhea (lack of menstrual bleeding), endometriosis (proliferation of the uterine lining), mastopathy (benign changes in the breast tissue, menopausal symptoms, vomiting, preparation for pregnancy)
• Ear, nose, throat and eye diseases (e.g .: sinusitis (inflammation of the paranasal sinuses), tonsillitis (tonsillitis), odor and taste disorders, sudden hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness, glaucoma, dry eye syndrome)
• Skin diseases (e.g .: neurodermatitis, eczema, acne, poorly healing wounds)
• Allergies (e.g .: hay fever, food allergies, allergic asthma, sun allergy)
• Post-operative situations (e.g .: promoting wound healing, preventing inflammation, decongestant, pain-relieving, lymph flow-stimulating effect)
• Other indications (e.g. accompanying therapy for tumor diseases, e.g. relieving nausea with chemotherapy, improving general well-being after surgery or radiation, genital herpes and labialis)
