Symptoms of anemia

Generally one shows up Anemia initially due to rather unspecific characteristics such as tiredness and weakness. It can too a headache and Dizzy spells or ringing in the ears (Tinnitus) come.
Those affected are pale, easy to recognize by the Conjunctiva of Eye or at the nail bed. A pale complexion in and of itself is more of an uncertain sign. Very mild forms of anemia sometimes even remain without symptoms.
Depending on the severity of the anemia or the speed at which anemia develops, those affected suffer fast heartbeat (tachycardia) and an increased blood pressure amplitude, d. H. the difference between the upper (systolic) value and the lower (diastolic) value when measuring blood pressure.

Disease emergence

Some anemia patients also have functional heart murmurs. The doctor hears a heart murmur with the stethoscope while the heart pumps the blood, but this usually disappears as soon as the anemia has been resolved and there are no heart murmurs due to other diseases.
The stress on the heart can range up to heart failure. Characteristics are shortness of breath (Dyspnea), Water retention (edema) and nocturnal urination (Nocturia). Initially, the shortness of breath only shows up during exertion, in the advanced stage also at rest.
In severe cases, there is an insufficient supply of oxygen to the tissue (hypoxia), the brain, the heart (angina pectoris) or the legs (Claudication).
Certain forms of anemia are accompanied by symptoms of yellowing of the eyes and skin (jaundice = jaundice).
