Tavanic®
introduction
Tavanic® is a prescription drug and should only be used on the advice of a doctor. Tavanic® contains the active ingredient levofloxacin and is one of the antibiotics. It belongs to the group of antibiotics called the fluoroquinolones and is used against bacterial infections.
effect
Tavanic® (or Levofloxacin) works by both Growth of bacteria inhibits and also kills the bacteria. It inhibits the enzyme Gyrase, which bacteria need to untangle their DNA, thus preventing the DNA from being read and the reproduction cycle is stopped. Ingestion
A special feature of Tavanic® or the active ingredient levofloxacin is that it has two and three-valent ions Chelate complex forms. This means that Tavanic® for example with Calcium and Magnesium ions fail, i.e. can react and thus lose its antibacterial effect. Side effects of Tavanic®
Other adverse effects of Tavanic® are Rashes, Gastrointestinal problems, how nausea, Vomit and Diarrhea or an increase in liver values in the blood.
