The active ingredient in Fluimucil® is acetylcysteine. This active ingredient dissolves secretions and is therefore used for colds and similar diseases of the respiratory tract.

How Fluimucil® works

Penetrate pathogens (e.g. Viruses or bacteriumn) enters the nose or bronchi, the mucous membrane there reacts by secreting large amounts of fluid.

The aim of these secretions is to wash away the invading pathogens and thus remove them from the body.

If this mucus cannot be removed quickly enough, it accumulates in the affected areas.
In addition, insufficient ventilation of the slimy areas results in ideal growth conditions for bacteria, which easily settle on this basis and multiply unhindered.

Fluimucil® as a dissolver of the secretion liquefies the mucus and thus facilitates the body's own removal of excess fluids.
This works by acetylcysteine breaking the bonds between the individual mucus molecules, thereby reducing the viscosity of the secretion, which makes it easier for the mucus to flow.
Through this mechanism, Fluimucil® avoids inflammation and can cause hustan attacks if the skin is stuck to cough effectively alleviate.
