Biofeedback training
definition
The term biofeedback (ancient Greek: bios = Life, English: feedback) describes the method of using technical means to make body functions such as pulse, brain conductance and the degree of muscle relaxation accessible to the user. Through targeted biofeedback training, the practitioner learns, with the help of constant feedback from these values, to deliberately influence and control certain body functions. Biofeedback is a scientific method that moves between medicine and psychology and is currently regarded as the most modern relaxation method. It is also used for panic and anxiety, depression, sleep disorders and migraine treatment.
