Plant description

The plant forms Aerial roots, set with fine spines arranged in tufts. They rise up rocks and walls, branch out in thin, curved, four to eight-sided branches.
The big ones grow out of a wreath of rough leaves blossoms. These are brown-yellow to white on the outside. The petals enclose thread-like stamens, the flower smells of fragrance vanilla and only blooms very briefly.
It opens between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. and blooms until the early hours of the morning, so only at night (therefore the name).
Cacti are mainly found in tropical areas America At home. There they grow wild, but are also grown in cultures.

Plant parts used medicinally
